KommuneKredit is a Danish financial institution offering financing and advisory services to municipalities and regions in Denmark. The company has more than 120 employees and was established back in 1899. KommuneKredit has always been a driver of an open and trusting culture where employee well-being is at the center. But in 2019, they put extra effort into maintaining this mantra: they took the first steps towards professionalizing their employee satisfaction efforts.
They aimed to professionalize their approach to maintain a positive work environment with a high level of well-being and proactively address problems before they escalate:

KommuneKredit's results speak for themselves: With an impressive response rate of 97% in 2023, using Ennova's survey, KommuneKredit has not only achieved a professionalization of their approach to employee satisfaction. They have also created a recognizable structure that increases the employees' willingness to respond to the survey.
Although KommuneKredit has had a high starting point for their satisfaction numbers, they have still managed to drive improvements through a professional and continuous measurement set-up. Improvements that are driven both by insight into where they could improve and where they already excel:
KommuneKredit's continuous success underlines the value of a structured approach to working with measurement results. The post-measurement follow-up process has been key to maintaining the positive trends. Here, KommuneKredit has created a fixed structure built around one of the platform's tools, 'action plans':
"Each department conducts a dialogue meeting after receiving survey results and records their action plans on the Ennova platform. The first dialogue meetings are held in December, and action plans must be submitted by March 1. And then we follow up at the management meetings, where managers can also be inspired by each other. It's a good opportunity to talk about satisfaction and collaboration in the department and to focus on things that can be done differently. The initiatives are then followed up regularly."
Ennova’s annual presentation of results and provision of customized materials for follow-up conversations have made it even easier for KommuneKredit to create a structured process.
In addition to solid follow-up, KommuneKredit takes great pride in fostering an open and informal culture of mutual respect and low ceilings:
"We have an open and attentive management and an executive board that is visible in the office and talks to the employees. We also maintain an ongoing dialogue on 1:1 conversations, we plan social events, and we remember to celebrate our successes. It all helps to maintain our high level of engagement and satisfaction."

Through five years of collaboration, the level of trust and confidence in the process is top-notch, and especially the ongoing sparring with Ennova's experts has enabled KommuneKredit to adapt and fine-tune their efforts:
"We feel taken care of and Ennova knows us. And we've had a good dialogue throughout the process, both with the project manager and the consultants. As an example, we have already started making a schedule for this year's measurement in the fall. Ennova is very responsive to our wishes."
